Same here, Sara. I had some experience working with low paying clients a few years ago - a few of them were fine and let me get on with the work, but a lot of them would have no appreciation for the time spent on their account and had insane expectations. Moving to higher paying clients is definitely the way to go.

I enjoy Elna's work. These tips are excellent, especially the 'raise your rates' tip. You'll be able to work less and with more quality clients who appreciate your skill and time.

Hi Elna and Adam,

Sweet tools! I am focused on Twitter and FB but have so many colorful travel photos to share that I must needs get more active on Pinterest. Too much potential there. And I've heard awesome things about Tailwind too for a minute now. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Adam,

Awesome insights! Because clarity is where it's at, to create content that keeps getting shared. Persona-driven content is just content created for 1 specific person. I publish posts specifically for a person who wants smart blogging tips BUT this individual also wants to retire to the tropics. I work in my travel pictures, eBook covers - all of which contain pictures of the tropics - and sometimes, my travel stories into my blog, blog posts and brand. That's my reader. That's my persona. Excellent post Adam. It really never is More. It is Specific. Huge difference. Thanks for sharing :)

Hi David (and Adam ;).

Awesome review! Like you Adam, I am with Mail Chimp. I tried Aweber. Dug it. But I like bare bones, no frills, I'll be in and out of my list manager in 5 mins LOL, type email marketing. Chimpy has me covered. Not a terrible level of functionality with MC but it works perfect for me. Log in, pick your campaign, grab your widget, add to the email, pick your header of course, and then, for me, write 2-3 lines and send it to your subscribers. Easy peasy. Thanks for the amazingly detailed breakdown!

Good list of tools; I haven't been able to use Photoshop yet (though I do want to purchase it when I can). I agree about Canva as I have used that program and agree with @Adam C that Canva is easy to use and has some great layout.

@Ryan - Completely agree with you. I still end up using Photoshop if I need to do some advanced work or resizing but nothing beats Canva for ease of use. Especially with all those design layouts at our finger tips :)

@Sue - Glad it was helpful :)

@Sarah - Sure thing. I have very limited design skills so I've absolutely loved using Canva!

Hi Elna and Adam,
I’m a big fan of Canva too ,this quickly-growing image tool is among the most effective ways for content creators to fake some advanced graphic design skills.Thanks so much for this article.

Hi Elna and Adam,

I really love Canva. So easy to grab a pic o mine from paradise, add some text, a cool symbol or 2, and then publish it on my blog. I like the intuitive nature of the tool, since I have zero design talents. Or maybe .0001 design talents ;) I also used Canva for an eBook cover or 2 of mine because I just use a travel picture, the BFP logo and little else to vibe with my brand. Loving this post.
