Jennifer Shafton

Hi. I am Jennifer Shafton. I grew up in Encino, California and currently live in Sherman Oaks, California. I am married to Brian Shafton. We grew up together as kids. His sister was my childhood best friend and his mother was like a second mom to me.

I grew up with dogs and birds and had a deep love for pets. As an adult, I took my lifelong passion of caring for pets and turned it into a professional business. I started my own dog walking and pet sitting business in January of 2004. It was first called Claws N Paws Petsitting.

After the first 6 years when I was turning away business left and right when the economy was at its worst due to the stellar reputation I built on my own, I expanded the business and brought on help. This allowed to me continue offering the highest level of pet care to more clients in a larger service area while adding on services such as overnight stays in clients homes.

I changed the business name in 2011 from Claws N Paws Petsitting to Rufus and Delilah Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. We have been pursued for 2 different reality based tv shows based on the amazing care we give to clients due to how I run the business. Thanks to all the hard work we have put in over the years we have endless 5 star reviews on Yelp and we were voted Best Dog Walker on the L.A. Hotlist in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In February of 2014 I officially became a pet blogger posting on my Rufus and Delilah website.
