Alongside his professional achievements, Finch has maintained a strong commitment to faith and ministry. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stephens, Georgia, at the age of nine and was later ordained as a deacon in 1988. After relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, in 1996, he continued serving in the deacon ministry at Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church while remaining active in the church and in community outreach.
In 2009, Finch answered his call to preach the Gospel. With the guidance of Rev. Abraham Mosley, senior pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, he served as an associate pastor and gained experience in pastoral leadership. His ministry journey later led him to accept the call to serve Billups Grove Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, on October 12, 2019.
Finch has held several leadership roles in healthcare. At Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia, he served as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. In this role, he supervised recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration, while helping improve workforce stability and organizational processes.
He also served as Interim Executive Director at Mercy Health Center in Athens, Georgia, overseeing strategic planning, administrative leadership, and financial oversight. Later, he joined Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center as Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer, overseeing multiple departments and strengthening employee engagement and retention.
Earlier in his career, Finch worked as a consultant with Statewide Healthcare, Inc., where he helped expand the organization’s services across several cities in Georgia. His work included recruitment planning, regulatory training, and building operational teams that supported the organization’s expansion.
