Hi, my given name is Ray but I've been known as Skip since my High School days, which by the way, are long gone! I'm been happily married to the same wonderful lady for the past 38 years. We have two grown sons, Colin and Cory, who have blessed us with 5 grandchildren. We also have two cats, Baby, and Sookie who seem to run the household.php_EOL
I am recently retired from the printing/publishing trade, after 25 years, a trade I truly loved, but sadly it is getting phased out as technology is taking over. Instead of newspapers, magazines, and flyers, being printed, most of those things can be found and read on the Internet.php_EOLphp_EOLphp_EOL
After the company I worked for closed down, I was basically lost as to what my next move was going to be. It was during this time that I discovered blogging, and I had always loved writing, so it was a perfect fit. php_EOLphp_EOLphp_EOL
I now spend most of my time drifting through cyberspace and writing. I try to write humorous posts, mainly because the state of the world today is sad, and if I can make someone get at least a bit of a smile from something that I've written, I look at that as a good thing. As Ive grown older I find my interest in somethings have increased, and it is these things that I find as inspiration for writing. At one time I wouldn't have given them a second thought, I'm not sure if I have developed a new sense of what I find right or wrong, or it's just old age catching up to me and making me a little more crotchety now!
