As the founder of Elevate Inc., he has worked with organizations across the Tampa Bay region to help them improve their outreach, expand their networks, and establish a meaningful presence in the community. Through these ongoing efforts, he continues to support organizations seeking steady and thoughtful growth.

He launched Elevate Inc. in 2012 to provide strategic guidance in public relations, community relations, targeted networking, and social media. Since its founding, the firm has assisted more than 350 companies that rely on stronger community engagement to advance their goals. His work emphasizes long-term relationships and consistent communication, helping companies understand how community connections can support measurable outcomes.

His early professional experiences contributed significantly to this approach. He began in journalism, serving as an editorial assistant in a bureau setting, where he observed firsthand how information is communicated and how community perspectives are shaped. He later transitioned into hospitality, serving as a public relations coordinator for a hotel and restaurant. These roles strengthened his understanding of public communication, customer engagement, and organizational outreach.

A shift into digital business development broadened his experience even further. As the founding business development director for a global networking platform, Aakash helped grow it from a small user base to more than 1 million members. This experience showed how online tools can expand professional networks and help businesses reach wider audiences.

Education and workforce readiness remain central themes throughout his public service work. He has consistently supported organizations focused on improving access to education and preparing individuals for long-term economic opportunity.

In 2021, he was appointed to the Hillsborough Community College District Board of Trustees for a four-year term, where he contributes to discussions surrounding education, student support, and workforce alignment. Since 2014, he has also served as Chairman of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, helping advance initiatives that strengthen early childhood education and support families across the region.

In addition to these leadership roles, he has served on various advisory and governance boards connected to economic development, banking, nonprofit strategy, and tourism. His work with the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council Board of Directors and the Visit Tampa Bay Advisory Board allowed him to collaborate closely with public officials and business leaders. Through these opportunities, he supported efforts to improve local education systems, economic development, and community readiness for future growth.

Aakash Patel has also participated in programs designed to deepen understanding of public safety, leadership, and government operations. These include Leadership Tampa, Leadership Tampa Bay, the Homeland Security Investigations Citizens’ Academy, and the FBI Citizens’ Academy. These experiences continue to influence how he approaches his responsibilities in both civic and business settings.
