Studio 54 was a world-famous nightclub that was open from 1977 to 1986. The club was known for its celebrity guests, lavish parties, and hedonistic atmosphere.

The club was started by two former restaurateurs, Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager. Rubell and Schrager had no prior experience in running a nightclub, but they quickly learned how to create a successful business.

The club became known for its strict door policy. Only the most attractive and well-dressed people were allowed inside. This made it difficult for many people to get into the club, but it also added to the allure of Studio 54.

The club was also famous for its drug use.
