His academic diligence earned him a spot in the National Honor Society, and he was actively involved in sports, particularly basketball and track. He was a key player on his school's track team, contributing to their state championship victory.



Following high school, AJ Eeten attended Illinois Central College (ICC) on a basketball scholarship, excelling both on the court and in the classroom. He later transferred to Northern Illinois University, where he completed his studies, earning a degree in Physical Education with a minor in Spanish, expanding his educational and cultural knowledge.



After university, he began his career in public education, taking on roles as a teacher and coach, where he significantly impacted his students' lives. Seeking a new challenge, he shifted his career path to retail sales in March 2017, starting as a manager at a T-Mobile store in Washington, Illinois. His responsibilities included managing the store’s daily operations and improving customer service.



In 2019, Andrew took a managerial position at Stanton Optical in Peoria, where he further honed his customer service and management skills within the eye care sector. He was responsible for customer consultations, inventory management, and staff training. By December 2023, he had transitioned to the role of an optician at the Vision Care Center in Peoria, specializing in assisting customers with their eyewear needs, providing tailored advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction.



Andrew is known for his exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multitask. His adaptability and eagerness to learn have made him a valuable asset in every professional environment he has been part of.
