Ayden Hector is a remarkable young man who has excelled in his academic and athletic careers while giving back to his community. He is a perfect example of a college student who has excelled despite the numerous hurdles and stresses that students encounter nowadays.

Hector began his academic career at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Washington, where he graduated with honors and maintained a perfect academic record. He graduated with a well-rounded education in 2020, having engaged in various activities, sports, and service opportunities. During his high school years, he also gained skills in Microsoft applications, which have served him well in college. He was also a gifted athlete who was selected as an all-state football player on several occasions.

Ayden has continued to excel both in the classroom and on the football field, where he has established himself as a standout defensive back for the Colorado State Rams. His love for the game began when he was young, and playing at the collegiate level has allowed him to continue pursuing his passion. Despite appearing in just seven games, he earned all-conference recognition and quickly established himself as a valuable team member.

The 2022 season was a standout year for Hector, who recorded 24 tackles and three interceptions while helping lead the Rams’ defense. One of his most memorable games occurred on October 7, when he recorded eight tackles, intercepted a pass, and returned one for a touchdown, showcasing his playmaking ability. With three more years of eligibility, he is determined to build on these successes and play an even greater role in shaping the future of Colorado State football.

Off the field, Hector has long been dedicated to service. In high school, he founded B.Box, a project delivering birthday boxes to homeless teens, and he continues this mission through a partnership with Colorado State’s campus food pantry. His community work extends to organizations such as Pick 6, Relay for Life, and Tent City, each offering him opportunities to support and mentor others.

Ayden Hector's leadership and service have been recognized through honors such as a nomination for the All-American Bowl “Man of the Year” award. His commitment to sports, academics, and giving back reflects a balance of drive and compassion that will serve him long after graduation.
