Raised in York, Pennsylvania, Brendon Falconer developed a strong work ethic early in life. His involvement in track and field shaped his discipline and focus, qualities that later influenced his professional path. While committed to athletics, he also prioritized academics and pursued business-centered studies. He earned an accounting degree from Kent State University and later completed an MBA at Indiana State University. His education in management, strategy, and organizational leadership prepared him for the complex responsibilities he would assume in the banking sector.
Throughout his professional journey, Brendon has developed deep technical knowledge in financial accounting, asset and liability management, management reporting, and data analytics. He has specialized in econometric modeling, ACL development, and stress testing frameworks. His analytical background also includes credit analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio oversight. In addition, he has contributed to the design and implementation of hedging and derivatives strategies while supporting investor relations and performance measurement initiatives.
In February 2014, he joined Old National Bank as senior vice president and director of management reporting and data analytics. In this role, he oversaw enterprise financial, operational, and credit reporting and managed the development of ACL and stress-testing models. He helped expand the bank’s analytical capabilities by establishing its first formal data science role and supporting the launch of a comprehensive business intelligence platform.
In September 2016, Brendon Falconer was promoted to treasurer at Old National Bank. His responsibilities included overseeing liquidity, capital planning, market risk sensitivity, the investment portfolio, and treasury operations. He also led efforts to centralize consumer loan and deposit pricing, analytics, and reporting. His work contributed to improved pricing discipline and stronger risk management practices.
Since May 2019, Brendon has served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. He now oversees financial accounting, reporting, tax, treasury, data analytics, facilities, procurement, and finance teams across the organization. During his tenure, Old National Bank has grown to more than $46 billion in combined assets, including the acquisition of a $20 billion Chicago bank.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Brendon Falconer has participated in industry discussions as a speaker at the “Acquired or Be Acquired” banking conference in both 2022 and 2023, addressing topics related to core banking systems and enhanced credit analytics. He also remains engaged in athletics, having placed third in the decathlon at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and competed in the 2000 Olympic Trials. He continues to support community and nonprofit initiatives through advisory roles and local involvement.
