Christina Propst, MD, has devoted 25 years to the practice of General Pediatrics in Houston, Texas. Christina Propst, Houston, has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 2001 and has held her Texas State Medical License continuously since 2000. Her career has included service at Blue Fish Pediatrics, Greater Heights, Texas Children’s Pediatrics-Fannin, and Bootin & Savrick Pediatrics, spanning a total of 23 years. These roles reflect her longstanding commitment to pediatric medicine and her steady presence in her community.

Dr. Propst has been recognized for her professional achievements and patient care. In 2024, she received the highest Patient Satisfaction Score at Blue Fish Pediatrics, Greater Heights. She has also been voted “Best Pediatrician” on multiple occasions by the West University Examiner Reader’s Choice Poll. She co-authored “Keeping Children Safe” with Dr. Fernando Stein, contributed opinion pieces to the Houston Chronicle, and organized Pediatric Grand Rounds on “Gun Violence & Pediatrics” at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2017.

Christina Propst has been actively involved in professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. She has also served on committees focused on infectious diseases, immunization, injury prevention, environmental health, and the needs of children in disaster situations.

Dr. Christina Propst was born in New York City and raised bilingual in German and English. She graduated Cum Laude from Horace Mann School, where she excelled in academics, athletics, and music. She attended Princeton University, majoring in Politics, and graduated Cum Laude in 1991. After graduation, she taught English in Japan through the Princeton-in-Asia program before attending Tulane University School of Medicine. She graduated in 1998 in the top 5% of her class and completed her residency at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. Her academic recognition includes induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, as well as the Herbert B. Rothschild, M.D. Award, and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation.

She has supported her community through medical work after Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey, advocacy for children’s health, and public education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Together with her family, she has contributed to many charitable efforts that focus on children, health, and community service.

She has balanced her career with raising children and celebrating more than 30 years of marriage. She enjoys gardening, traveling, sailing, spending time outdoors, and sharing moments with her family and friends. Service continues to guide her both professionally and personally.
