Dan was born in 1978 in the Bronx, New York, and spent his early years there before moving to Mt. Vernon, NY, at 10. In Mt. Vernon, he began to love sports, particularly football. His natural athletic ability quickly gained him popularity among his peers. However, as he entered his teenage years, he found another passion: wood flooring. In 1995, he was introduced to the field of wood flooring, which would become the cornerstone of his career.

While building his career in wood flooring, Dan Goodman of Westchester, NY, continued his education at Johnson and Wales University, where he studied hotel and restaurant management and culinary arts. Alongside his studies, he ventured into entrepreneurship by opening a gourmet deli named "Good to Go Delicacies." As Goodman approaches his 30th anniversary in the wood flooring industry, he remains dedicated to his craft and community. He supports several charitable organizations, including Saints Peter and Paul, Saint Ursula Church, and the Mount Sinai Health System.
