Don Brent Wensauer Male United States of America

Don Brent Wensauer is a well-regarded independent real estate professional and the founder and president of Property Management Services, Inc., based in Oklahoma. In addition to his successful real estate career, he is a practicing attorney, approaching 45 years in the legal field. His career is a blend of dedication, resilience, and a commitment to excellence, all of which have shaped him into the accomplished individual he is today.

Don’s educational journey began at Northwest Classen High School, where he was a dedicated student and athlete. He was involved in the debate team, earned a letter in wrestling, and was named an outstanding athlete during his senior year. Although many of his peers chose to attend Oklahoma State University, Don opted to enroll at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. After two years at the university, he briefly lived in Dallas before moving to Sebastopol, California.

In California, Don lived in a commune on an estate once owned by Charles Schulz, the famous creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. During this time, he worked as a grape picker in Napa Valley, an experience that gave him invaluable insight into the struggles of the working class. Working alongside migrant workers, Don developed a sense of camaraderie and a deeper understanding of the challenges that many face. This experience would later influence his outlook on life and inform his decisions in both his personal and professional journey.

Although Don dreamed of finishing his education at the University of California, Berkeley, financial constraints led him to return to Oklahoma, where he enrolled at Southern Nazarene University. He studied philosophy and religion there before continuing his education at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Law. While in law school, Don worked graveyard shifts at freight docks, further reinforcing his strong work ethic and connection to the working class.

Upon earning his law degree, Don was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association and began his legal career. However, his involvement in real estate investment would become a defining part of his professional life. Partnering with his father, Don started investing in properties while practicing law. His real estate career was promising, but the Oklahoma oil and real estate market crash hit hard, leaving him with millions of dollars in debt. Faced with the prospect of bankruptcy, Don decided to dissolve his partnership with his parents, protecting their assets in the process.

Don chose not to file for bankruptcy but instead focused on rebuilding his financial standing through negotiations with creditors. Many were understanding and willing to work with him, allowing Don to repay his debts and recover. Over time, he rebuilt his real estate portfolio and is now the founder of a real estate exchange fund that oversees large residential portfolios. His work involves converting these properties into more commercially oriented investments, requiring high expertise and precision.

Don thrives in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of real estate. His ability to identify profitable investment opportunities, make strategic offers on multi-million-dollar properties, and navigate complex tax-deferred exchanges is a testament to his skill and expertise. Despite the challenges, Don finds the work rewarding and fulfilling, and his experience managing large real estate portfolios has been a key factor in his success.

Throughout his career, Don has accumulated several notable achievements. He received the Presidential Honor Award at Southern Nazarene University while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and religion. At the University of Oklahoma’s College of Law, Don earned a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll. He is an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association, underscoring his commitment to his legal profession.

In addition to his professional success, Don is passionate about giving back to his community. He volunteers regularly at First Step, a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, and is involved with the Behind the Walls ministry, which supports individuals incarcerated in Oklahoma prisons. Don is also a member of AMBUCS, an organization that donates therapeutic tricycles to disabled children and veterans.

Don’s interests reflect his diverse hobbies and passions. He has a strong interest in residential architecture and design and recently built his dream home on a lakeside property, drawing inspiration from architectural styles he admired in Naples, Florida. Don also enjoys outdoor activities, including snow skiing, snowboarding, hiking, skydiving, scuba diving, and motorcycling. His love for motorcycling began in Texas and is one of his favorite hobbies. Additionally, Don has a collection of contemporary art, timepieces, and classic muscle cars.

Don Brent Wensauer’s life is a story of perseverance, hard work, and success. From his early experiences in California to his current success in law and real estate, Don has proven that one can overcome any obstacle with determination and dedication. As he nears his 45th year in the legal profession, Don continues to inspire those around him with his commitment to his work and his ability to make a difference in the lives of others. His accomplishments in both his professional and personal life serve as a reminder that resilience and hard work lead to lasting success.
