Dr. Calvin Hirsch Male • United Arab Emirates

Dr. Calvin Hirsch has devoted his life to assisting medical residents in caring for challenging patients on the inpatient medical service and overseeing residents in the outpatient General Medicine Clinic and the Internal Medicine Geriatrics Clinic, which he supervised for 30 years.

Dr. Calvin Hirsch has educated generations of medical students in the inpatient environment and through lectures. Several of Dr. Hirsch's trainees have progressed to important academic geriatrics positions.

By the time Dr. Calvin Hirsch entered college, he was certain he wanted to be a doctor. He began his academic career at Yale University, where he got a bachelor's degree in 1976.


He then went on to study medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He subsequently took the following steps toward realizing his dream, accepting an internship and residency in internal medicine from 1980 to 1983 at Mt. Zion Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco.
