Dr. Godwin Ofikwu Male • United States of America

Dr. Ofikwu was driven by a strong passion to serve others from a young age, and he immediately realized that being a surgeon would give him with not only the path, but also the means to build a life around that mission. He was born in Nigeria and graduated from Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in 2000 as the "Best Graduating Medical Student in Surgery." He worked as a house medical officer before becoming a resident Surgeon at the same teaching hospital.
Dr. Ofikwu moved to New York in 2006 and worked as the Assistant Director of the Department of Quality Management at Harlem Hospital. Later that year, he finished his general surgery residency at Harlem Hospital Medical Center with The Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Ofikwu completed his surgical oncology residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
