Dr. Janet Chollet United States of America

Dr. Janet Chollet has built a career shaped by clinical practice, translational research, and the development of therapeutic programs designed to address major gaps in women’s health. She is a board-certified obstetrician–gynecologist and the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Procyrn LLC, where she leads efforts to advance sustained-release biologics and reformulated antivirals. Her work focuses on maternal–fetal health, neuroinflammation, and HPV-driven cervical disease, reflecting a practical and measured approach to moving scientific concepts toward clinical application.

With more than three decades of experience, she has contributed to patient care, medical education, and early-stage therapeutic development through positions at respected academic institutions. Her career includes three U.S. patents for drug-delivery systems designed for women’s health, as well as involvement in several preclinical and early clinical programs. Across these roles, she has emphasized the importance of aligning scientific innovation with everyday clinical demands to support therapies that are both effective and feasible for patient care.

Her academic training began with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, followed by completion of her medical degree and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The rigor of her residency years provided a foundation for her long-term commitment to improving care for women, children, and families. These early experiences strengthened her interest in translational medicine and underscored the value of developing therapies that address real clinical challenges.

After residency, Janet Chollet joined academic clinical practice, where she balanced patient care with teaching and mentoring future physicians. This period deepened her understanding of how clinical insights can shape therapeutic development and highlight unmet medical needs. She later co-founded a biotechnology company focused on women’s health and contributed to the development of topical and vaginal drug-delivery technologies that supported multiple issued patents and a subsequent merger with a public pharmaceutical organization.

In 2023, she co-founded Procyrn LLC, where she directs clinical development, regulatory planning, and translational strategy. Her programs include a sustained-release biologic for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, immune-modulating approaches for ALS, and selective therapeutic candidates for HPV-associated cervical dysplasia. She also evaluates exploratory concepts involving maternal–fetal immune stabilization and its potential influence on early neurodevelopment. Reproducible science, structured milestones, and disciplined progression across all stages of development define her leadership.

Earlier in her career, she also engaged in creative work by co-writing a recognized episode of a medical television series. Outside of her professional commitments, she values family, wellness, travel, and creative expression, while continuing to explore how emerging technologies may strengthen clinical workflows and translational research. Dr. Janet Chollet remains dedicated to advancing therapies that translate scientific understanding into meaningful patient outcomes.
