Dr. Neil Ross Male • United States of America
Neil Evan Ross, MD, is a physician and business professional with experience in anesthesiology, medical operations, and healthcare leadership. He received both his undergraduate and medical education from Tulane University and Tulane University School of Medicine. Over the years, Dr. Neil Ross has founded and overseen multiple anesthesia practices, including Summit Anesthesia and Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants. He now resides in Boca Raton, Florida, where he is involved in managing Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Neil attended Ida Crown Jewish Academy for high school. Upon graduation, he relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he began his studies at Tulane University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Continuing at the same institution, he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in 1986. These academic milestones laid the groundwork for a career rooted in both clinical practice and healthcare management.
Neil began his postgraduate training with a surgical internship at Boston University Medical Center. The role provided early exposure to the fast-paced environment of hospital care, helping to shape his ability to respond under pressure. After completing the internship, he moved to New York to begin a residency in anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center. His dedication to the field led him to pursue further specialization through a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at NYU, which enabled him to work on complex surgical cases and refine his clinical acumen.
In 1990, Neil accepted a position at Sheridan Healthcare in Hollywood, Florida. He worked with the group until 1996, holding the position of Director of Cardiac Anesthesia. In addition to his clinical duties, he contributed to the company’s broader goals by assisting in the development of new contracts and supporting operations outside of Florida. He also became engaged in several non-clinical responsibilities, including billing processes, provider scheduling, staff coordination, and compliance with medical regulations.
Neil moved to New Jersey in 1996 and joined Summit Anesthesia Associates, where he began managing anesthesia services at hospitals such as Mountainside Hospital and Trinitas Regional Medical Center. By 1999, he had assumed the role of working member, overseeing contract negotiations, staff recruitment, provider supervision, and ensuring regulatory compliance. His role combined clinical expertise with administrative leadership, enabling the practice to grow and operate efficiently.
In 2008, Neil founded Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants in Livingston, New Jersey. As the owner, he took responsibility for both the clinical and business aspects of the group, which served a surgery center. The practice grew consistently under his leadership, generating more than three million dollars annually. Neil continued his clinical duties, including emergency coverage and staff oversight, until 2012, when he experienced a stroke that brought an end to his active medical practice.
In 2016, Neil began working with Omniscient Financial LLC, a family-owned business focused on equipment financing and financial compliance. He applied his operational experience to a new industry and continued with the company until 2024.
In 2024, Neil took on a new challenge with Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC. The company supports healthcare providers in offering structured diabetes care while remaining compliant with administrative standards. Neil’s focus has been on improving both clinical outcomes and financial sustainability for practices.
Although he is no longer practicing, Neil holds an inactive medical license in the state of Florida. He is a member of the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He earned board certification in anesthesiology in 1991 and renewed it voluntarily in 2008.
Neil moved to Boca Raton, Florida, in 2019 after more than two decades in New Jersey. The relocation allowed him to be near family and pursue new endeavors. He remains physically active by lifting weights several times each week and enjoys collecting wine. Neil also continues to support several synagogues as part of his ongoing community involvement.
