Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose diverse background contributes to his approach to patient care. He was raised on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho, where he developed a strong work ethic from an early age. Before pursuing a medical career, he gained experience in several fields. He worked in wildfire suppression with the U.S. Forest Service and in construction, where he learned carpentry, electrical systems, and residential building. These roles taught him practical skills and the value of teamwork.
His academic path began at the University of Idaho, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. Afterward, he returned to Boise to complete his prerequisites for medical school at Boise State University. He expanded his studies to include chemistry, biology, and anatomy there. During this time, he also worked as a lab instructor and manager and spent three years in biomedical research focused on systems biology and human health.
2012, Dr. Eidemiller entered the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno. Over four years, he rotated through clinics and hospitals statewide, gaining experience in general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and internal medicine. Upon graduating in 2016, he matched into the emergency medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno. He trained at one of California’s busiest emergency departments and developed proficiency in airway management, resuscitation, line placement, and bedside ultrasound. His clinical exposure included managing gunshot wounds, cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, psychiatric emergencies, and trauma.
Following residency, he worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. In 2020, Dr. Eidemiller joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group. Over time, his responsibilities expanded, and he became a trusted leader within the group. In 2024, he was appointed Vice Chair, overseeing scheduling, operations, staff support, and quality initiatives. Despite this leadership role, he continues to provide direct patient care. He also maintains clinical practice through moonlighting shifts at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, ensuring continued exposure to high-acuity cases.
Dr. Eidemiller is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He holds an active California medical license and DEA registration and follows all required regulations. His clinical skills include intubation, wound care, line placement, sedation, and advanced cardiac life support. Fluent in Spanish, he connects effectively with a broad range of patients.
Outside of medicine, he remains engaged in community service. He previously volunteered with an English language learning program in Boise and contributed to trail maintenance for Ridge to Rivers. In his personal life, Dr. Seth Eidemiller enjoys cycling, cooking, home improvement projects, and travel, which offer him balance and perspective beyond his medical practice.
