Griffith Littlehale Male • United States of America
At the center of Griffith Littlehale’s work is a steady dedication to helping others in moments of uncertainty. Operating out of Toledo, OH, he serves as an Emergency Medical Technician with Ambulance Services, responding to urgent medical situations across the community. His responsibilities frequently involve assisting homebound individuals and patients who encounter barriers to consistent healthcare access. He views emergency medicine as a field that demands both technical precision and human understanding. With academic training in psychology and practical field experience, he aims to provide care that addresses immediate medical concerns while remaining attentive to emotional well-being.
Griffith’s roots are firmly planted in Toledo. He attended St. Francis De Sales High School and graduated in 2018, ranked eighth in his class. His academic record reflected sustained focus and responsibility. Alongside his studies, he competed in swimming and earned All-American honors in 2017-2018. Participation in competitive athletics required discipline, time management, and persistence, all of which later proved valuable in his professional life. After high school, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Toledo. His academic interests centered on understanding how individuals think, behave, and respond to stress. During his first year, he received the President's Education Award for excellence. He also earned recognition from the Jesup Scott Honors College and the Kappa Psi Fraternity. These accomplishments demonstrated his ability to balance rigorous coursework with broader personal development.
Seeking to expand his role in direct patient care, Griffith completed his Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification in April 2025 through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. The program required structured clinical preparation and readiness for unpredictable emergency scenarios. In 2024, his efforts were recognized with the Clinical Excellence Award, sponsored by the University of Toledo and The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). His EMT training includes patient assessment, basic life support procedures such as CPR and AED use, wound management, medication assistance, trauma stabilization, and safe patient transport. He also prioritizes clear documentation and effective communication with hospital teams to ensure continuity of care. His background in psychology supports his ability to observe behavioral cues and respond calmly when patients experience fear or confusion.
Since joining the Ambulance Services in June 2024, Griffith has become actively involved in Toledo’s community-focused healthcare efforts. He responds to emergency calls while also contributing to outreach initiatives for individuals who may otherwise struggle to obtain medical attention. His work with homebound residents reflects his belief that access and dignity should remain central to healthcare delivery. He approaches each call with careful attention and professionalism.
Outside his professional duties, Griffith continues to engage with his community. He volunteers at local churches, assisting in the preparation and service of meals to individuals experiencing homelessness. He has also taken part in United Way food drives. In addition, he develops his interest in graphic design, producing school advertisements, theater production posters, and custom holiday cards for a local church. Reading remains a consistent pursuit, with authors such as Bret Easton Ellis, Edgar Allan Poe, Descartes, and Oscar Wilde shaping his intellectual interests.
As he considers his future, Griffith Littlehale is evaluating graduate study in psychology and potential clinical practice. He is also exploring organizational behavior, particularly issues involving workplace diversity and mental health. Alongside these goals, he plans to continue expanding his freelance graphic design work and hopes to travel to broaden his understanding of different communities. Through steady effort and continued service, he intends to build a career that remains grounded in responsibility and meaningful contribution.
