During his first year, he received the President's Education Award for excellence. He also earned recognition from the Jesup Scott Honors College and the Kappa Psi Fraternity. These accomplishments demonstrated his ability to balance rigorous coursework with broader personal development.
Seeking to expand his role in direct patient care, Griffith completed his Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification in April 2025 through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. The program required structured clinical preparation and readiness for unpredictable emergency scenarios. In 2024, his efforts were recognized with the Clinical Excellence Award, sponsored by the University of Toledo and The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). His EMT training includes patient assessment, basic life support procedures such as CPR and AED use, wound management, medication assistance, trauma stabilization, and safe patient transport. Since joining the Ambulance Services in June 2024, Griffith has become actively involved in Toledo’s community-focused healthcare efforts.
