Hamill began his career at Credit Suisse amid the 2008 financial crisis, initially working on a joint venture involving the firm's prime services and low-latency trading teams. He later transitioned to roles in the firm's algorithmic, equities, and foreign exchange teams. In 2009, he was instrumental in launching the startup electronic foreign exchange business, generating significant revenue in its inaugural year.
