Dr. Hima Bindu Lingam is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with significant experience in patient care, oncology clinical trials, and health equity. Her career has taken her through academic and government healthcare settings, where she has remained focused on providing effective cancer treatment while addressing care gaps for underserved populations. She has served as an investigator in over 40 oncology clinical trials covering a wide range of tumor types, balancing both research and patient care in her roles. Through virtual consultancy, she has helped deliver oncology expertise and support to patients worldwide.

In addition to her professional practice, she has dedicated herself to offering pro bono second-opinion oncology consultations to cancer patients in South Asia, aiming to improve outcomes for those with limited access to specialized care. Dr. Lingam received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Brown University, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center and her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine. She has worked as a locum tenens physician, providing oncology and hematology coverage in different communities during periods of staffing need.

She has held clinical and research positions at Compassionate Cancer Care Medical Group and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, where she played a key role in expanding clinical trial opportunities. Her leadership in cancer research has included principal investigator roles and advisory positions, including work with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center through the Navya Network. She has also provided care at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, contributed to research at the National Cancer Institute, and served at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
