Jakub Hejl is a Czech American investor, real estate developer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has built a notable presence across the U.S. real estate and cultural sectors. He is the founder and president of Westside Capital Group. This Miami-based real estate investment firm manages a multibillion-dollar portfolio of assets and land holdings across key markets nationwide. Hejl is also the founder and Chairman of the Hejl Foundation and serves as Chairman of the Board of The Wolfsonian, a distinguished Miami Beach museum and research center that examines the role of art and design in shaping society.

Born in Prague, Czech Republic, on January 9, 1989, Hejl moved to the United States at 15 to pursue more excellent educational opportunities. He attended IMG Academy in Sarasota, Florida. He later graduated with honors from the University of Miami, earning a degree in Finance and Real Estate alongside a minor in Economics. Hejl’s professional journey began in real estate investment banking in New York City, followed by roles at renowned private equity firms such as DRA Advisors and Westbrook Partners, where he gained deep insight into large-scale real estate transactions.
In 2017, Hejl founded Westside Capital Group to transform the southeastern U.S. real estate market. Under his leadership, the firm has become known for its strategic investments in urban redevelopment projects, including the high-profile RoseArts District in Orlando, one of the most significant opportunity zone developments in the U.S. Hejl is also a pioneer in unique situation investing, acquiring distressed assets and repositioning them for future growth and profitability.
