Jeff Webb Cheerleading Male • United States of America
Jeff Webb Cheerleading is a prominent American businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is widely recognized as the chairman of Herff Jones, a renowned company manufacturing educational recognition products, motivational materials, and sports gear. The company is based in Indianapolis, Indiana and is closely affiliated with the top-level college and professional sports, including cheerleading.
Webb assumed his role as the chairman of Herff Jones in 2014 after Varsity Brands acquired the company in the previous year. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science and government from the University of Oklahoma, a prestigious public research university in Norman, Oklahoma. While at the university, Webb was an active campus leader and closely involved with the school's cheer squad. This involvement led to his work with the National Cheerleaders Association as a student.
Webb's involvement with the National Cheerleaders Association eventually led him to establish the Universal Cheerleading Association and Varsity Brand's precursor, Varsity Spirit. He is widely credited with advancing cheerleading as a sport and securing recognition as an official Olympic discipline.
Webb is also a well-known philanthropist and has worked closely with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for over a decade. He has also extensively supported the Special Olympics organization, which caters to disabled children and adults with year-round training and activities. Previously, Webb supported the since-discontinued Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, which raised funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
As an author, Webb wrote the best-selling book American Restoration: How to Unshackle the Great Middle Class, which outlines his work in turning cheerleading into an internationally recognized sport. The book also presents several steps proposed by the author as necessary to unlock the potential of the American middle class.
Webb enjoys a range of personal interests, including boating, conservation, duck hunting, and one-wheeling. He spends as much time as possible with his close friends and family and lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with his Labrador Retriever dog.
