Jem Sirrine is the PGA/ECR team lead for International Customs Clearance at FedEx Logistics in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been with the company for almost three years and plays a vital role in overseeing operations related to shipment clearance. He coordinates with government agencies, trains new agents, and resolves issues with high-value shipments. His work ensures compliance with regulatory standards and strives to improve processes for more efficient and effective clearance procedures.

Jem began his career in athletic training as an intern with the Cleveland Indians in Winter Haven, Florida, after completing his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University. In this role, he assisted in rehabilitating and treating player injuries, contributing to minor and major leagues. Following his internship, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology.

In 2000, Sirrine worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Winter Park High School, where he worked closely with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for all varsity and junior varsity sports. His responsibilities included pre-practice treatments, supervising athletic training interns, and teaching Personal Health, Fitness, and Team Sports courses. His next role was as Head Athletic Trainer at Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida, where he managed 16 varsity sports, oversaw the department’s budget, and collaborated with orthopedic surgeons to expand the Sports Medicine team. He also taught Athletic Training, First Aid, and CPR courses.

Jem’s career then took him to Bond Clinic in Winter Haven, where he worked as an Athletic Trainer. He was instrumental in growing the orthopedic department, developing relationships within the community, and establishing partnerships with local schools. He also provided athletic training services, performed patient evaluations, and managed insurance billing for the Physical Therapy Department.

After 11 years as Head Athletic Trainer at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, Sirrine transitioned to his current role at FedEx Logistics. At FedEx, he focuses on ensuring all shipments comply with government regulations, addressing delays, and training new agents to improve operational efficiency.
