He's been running The Holiday Light Store and Honeycutt Transmission for the last two decades. Lin Honeycutt, 65, is a very good husband and father. As soon as Mr. Honeycutt finished college, he started his own business and has been an entrepreneur for the rest of his life. The Holiday Light Store is a well-known name in the United States and Canada because it is based in Raleigh.

For getting an Associate's Degree in Auto Technicians, Mr. Honeycutt was given $10,000 because he was named one of the best mechanics in the United States. With his state-of-the-art factory run by Honeycutt Transmission, he has been given the highest honors by Raleigh.

Southern Baptist missionary: Mr. Honeycutt has been to 20 states in the United States and other countries all over the world as a missionary for the church. It's been over 30 years since he joined the North Carolina Baptist Men's Association. He has been in a lot of church leadership roles in the Raleigh Baptist Association. Across four countries, he's been to more than 20 churches and helped build churches and homes for people to use. Operation Site: The Honeycutts work for a disaster relief group called Sandy Creek Baptist Association, which is part of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and tornadoes ripped through Wake County, North Carolina, in April 2011, he worked with the North Carolina Baptist Men's Association to help people in need.

Before and after work, he likes to spend time with his wife, their two daughters, and their three grandchildren. In his free time, Lin Honeycutt likes to collect cars, ski, and raise hay.
