Nicholas developed many of his core qualities while attending Penn State University, where he graduated in May 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice. As a student, he contributed to The Daily Collegian and strengthened his voice as a reporter. He also competed with the Penn State boxing team, an experience that sharpened his discipline, confidence, and resilience while helping him understand the value of preparation, teamwork, and composure.
Nicholas further broadened his perspective through a study program in Amsterdam, where he encountered new cultures, perspectives, and ways of learning. This overseas experience broadened his understanding of people and global systems while deepening his interest in technology and communication. It encouraged curiosity, adaptability, and openness, qualities that later supported his work with clients and teams in demanding professional settings.
Nick Manella began his professional journey by completing the Information Technology Leadership Development Program at Johnson & Johnson. This achievement marked his formal entry into technology and showed his commitment to structure, learning, and punctual execution. His path later brought him to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, where he focused on digital marketing consulting for healthcare and life sciences organizations, with a focus on strategy, care, and precision.
Nicholas has more than eight years of experience supporting technology initiatives across healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical commercialization. Despite not having a computer science background, he was admitted to a master’s program in computer science at Tufts University. This milestone reflects his willingness to challenge himself, keep learning, and strengthen his technical foundation while serving as a Technology Strategist.
Nicholas has achieved results that show both strategic insight and commercial impact. He directly supported the commercialization of more than six pharmaceutical drugs and helped launch an artificial intelligence and machine learning offering for pharmaceutical commercialization.
