There is all out war in the city of Marawi. Martial Law has been declared and is into the second month in the large area of Mindanao as the Philippines National Forces clamp down on ISIS elements that have taken over the city of Marawi.

Philippine Forces have dropped bombs in non-stop airstrikes on the fortified Terrorist Positions as Islamist Militants continue their desperate struggle. Over 400 people have been killed. Residents are evacuating the area to anywhere they can.

Resident Ryan Veracruz has said that it chaos in the streets and he is trying to get the means to help his family get out of the city as soon as possible but the fighting as well as the financial crisis is preventing him. Another resident Dean Gonzalez also said that his family is desperate to go abroad and fight greener pastures because his family has lost everything.

Mr. Gonzalez is quotes as saying: we have contacted a Canadian Immigration Consultant that is helping us process our application under Refugee status to Canada. The immigration consultant told us that there might be a chance that we can go to Canada because the state cannot protect us. We hope that we will be successful in this venture. He said that he hopes that it is true and not fake.
