Jonathan Fryer is a British writer, lecturer and broadcaster, based in London but regularly travelling, all over the world. He is the author of 15 non-fiction books, of which the latest is a childhood memoir, Eccles Cakes. He teaches a Humanities course at London University's School of Oriental and African Studies and broadcasts frequently on the BBC and several Middle Eastern TV stations.
