K. E. Lane Male

K. E. Lane – everyone’s name has a story behind it, and I am no different from anyone else. I grew up in a small town, where I lived until I went off to college. Before finishing my degree, I joined the Navy, where I discovered the full scope of my potential. I now have my B.A. and aspire to someday continue my education in the medical field, either as a doctor or a nurse.

I started writing when I was just ten years old, but I lost my passion somewhere along the years. I took a roundabout path getting back to where I could enjoy writing again, but here I am! My love of writing came from family and was nurtured as I grew. From poetry to short stories to novels in the works, I try to continuously hone and enjoy my craft.

As of January, I am a full-time stay-at-home-mom. And I absolutely love it. When I’m not spending time with my son, writing, or doing housework, I am spending time with good friends, strength training to improve my dancing, and I like to take my fur-child on doggie play-dates. I say ‘child’ because I’m fairly certain the dog believes she is human. Currently, home is wherever the Army sends us. Right now that is Texas, where I relish the time I get with my husband.

My definition of freedom has always been knowing who you are and being the truest version of that person, regardless of what anyone says. My poisons of choice have always been learning, knowledge, creativity, passion and art; where my true talents shine the brightest, it’s hard for me to say, but that’s all part of a journey I hope to share with you!
