James Clear is one of my favorite productivity experts. He suggests not focusing on the goal but on the system (or action) that will get you to your goal.

Multitasking is something that we all trip on. It tricks us into thinking we are more productive, but really we are completing multiple tasks in a subpar manner.

@Samuel - thanks for checking this post out! It's super easy to do, I think we've all been in that position. I have a bad habit of having too many tabs open, so when it comes to researching & writing articles, I'll use a different browser to stop myself from jumping into other tasks.

They are, Janice. I haven't tried them myself (main reason why I asked Elna to write this post) but lots of marketers use them with great success. You need some sort of product to promote - could be your own product or an affiliate product.
