Hey, I'm Kris, editor & writer, and the author of Freelance Your Heart Out.

If you love words anywhere near as much as I do, you’re in the right place. Whether it’s writing for yourself, writing for others, or just an appreciation of beautiful language, we’re gonna hit it off just fine!

After playing word nerd through my early 20s and nabbing a couple of linguistics quals, I bounced off to London enthusiastically. Only to have the stuffing kicked out of me by a pretty draining day job. I started out as a staff writer there, but left behind my in-house days to plunge into freelancing.

It was just what I wanted, freedom and flexibility, the opportunity to do it all my way. Of course, there were horrendous, embarrassing failures thrown in!
Following a brief spell in Brazil, I moved to New Zealand. And I love it here.

Having been there myself, now I help others to leave behind a life where they don’t get to express their greatest self. Whether that’s doing an amazing job of freelancing through writing and editing or getting an important message out into the world, I love helping other women to earn their living in a free and flexible way.
