Paul Benevente grew up in New York. In his home county of Suffolk, he went to Lindenhurst High School. Lindenhurst High School is a public high school in New York on Long Island's coast. It is the only high school in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District.

Benevente went to Florida State University to study after he graduated from Lindenhurst High School. It was founded in 1851 and is the oldest university in the State University System of Florida. The Florida Legislature has called it the state's "preeminent research university." After getting his engineering degree from Florida State University, Benevente joined the U.S. Army. Benevente is a renaissance man. Aside from his business and sales successes, he has also done well in many other areas of his life. One of these is an engineer from the U.S. Army.

As an engineer in the U.S. Army, he was sent to Kwajalein in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in 1991 to work on a project. The following year, he was sent back to Kwajalein as part of a civic action team. This time, he was sent to the atoll of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. One of his other missions was to Laos, a country in Southeast Asia that was very important to him.
