Phil Healy of Chicago is a senior analyst with a professional background in tax services, fund accounting, and international finance. Raised in a bilingual home by a Brazilian mother and an American father, he speaks English, French, and Portuguese.
Phil earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, where he also majored in French. During college, he was involved in student radio, played squash, and volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club in St. Joseph County. He later earned a Master’s degree in Accountancy with a focus on Tax Services from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Phil began his career at Deloitte Tax in Chicago in 2019, working in the Multistate Tax Services group. By 2021, he was promoted to senior tax consultant. In this role, he reviewed state tax filings, managed team workflows, and trained new consultants. His work supported clients with tax compliance, planning, and restructuring.
Later in 2021, he transitioned into a fund finance analyst position at a private investment firm. There, he maintained accounting records for private equity funds, reviewed financial reports, and handled capital transactions. His role also involved coordination with legal, treasury, and tax teams to support day-to-day operations.
In 2023, he joined an energy company as a senior analyst focused on international finance. He was responsible for creating budgets, forecasting cash flow, and managing internal transactions for global projects. He supported coordination between the Chicago office and international teams, gaining experience using Bloomberg Terminal data for interest rate analysis. He held this role until 2025.
His community involvement began early, starting with volunteer work at Gilda’s Club of Chicago during his high school years. In college, he continued serving others through L’Arche in Forest Park and the Boys and Girls Club. He later supported Brave Space Alliance on Chicago’s South Side.
Outside of his professional work, he enjoys music, plays the piano, is learning to play the guitar, and follows local sports teams. He also cares for two cats.
