Rafael Amaral Male • United States of America
For more than 15 years, Rafael Amaral has played an active role in the renewable energy sector, supporting the deployment of utility-scale power systems across several continents. With a background in electrical engineering, he learned early that credibility is earned through consistent field performance. His approach has always focused on keeping turbines operational, grids stable, and teams aligned to deliver safe and timely results.
Rafael currently serves as Executive Vice President at a renewable energy company, where he is responsible for approximately $220 million in P&L. His role covers field services, repowering, project execution, and asset management across wind, solar, and battery storage operations throughout North America.
Rafael's career began in Brazil, where he graduated as valedictorian in Electrical Engineering. Early in his profession, he worked on the design of high-voltage substations and electrical systems, gaining valuable insight into how infrastructure responds under load. This technical foundation shaped his ability to make decisions that drive long-term operational performance.
In 2011, Rafael Amaral of Florida joined a global energy company and began working in wind commissioning and site management. He managed turbine delivery, engineering coordination, and client interaction. Later, he led service operations in several Latin American countries, overseeing a $10 million region with approximately 120 employees. These experiences helped him define operational boundaries and lead distributed teams effectively in remote environments.
Rafael then moved into global leadership, where he was responsible for workforce planning for roughly 1,600 field employees in 25 countries. He later led global operations valued at nearly $190 million, applying lean practices to reduce inefficiencies, improve safety, and enhance overall consistency.
Rafael continued his leadership path in North America and the broader Americas, overseeing operations with more than 1,200 employees and revenues up to $160 million. In 2024, he directed the integration of over 10 acquired companies into a single platform. That same year, he became Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all construction and operations across the U.S. and Canada.
Throughout his professional journey, Rafael Amaral has remained committed to execution, reliability, and long-term value in the renewable energy industry.
