Reed Cagle Male • United States of America
Reed Cagle, an accomplished consultant in the energy and oil sectors, brings a wealth of knowledge to enhance operational efficiencies and incorporate advanced drilling technologies such as horizontal drilling. Born in 1962 in Clarksville, Texas, he has always maintained a strong affinity for his Texan roots despite having traveled extensively.
Reed and his wife, Donna, have shared over thirty years of marriage, during which they raised their son, who is now an adult. The family initially resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1999 before moving back to Plano, Texas, in 2017, where they settled down. His professional journey in the oil industry began in 1986 at Kinlaw Oil Corporation, where his initial engagement sparked a deep-seated passion for the field. His dedication and quick learning facilitated his rapid advancement through the ranks.
In 1996, Cagle took a significant step by leaving Kinlaw to start his venture in Dallas, Texas. The following year, he established Heartland Energy Inc., which would later be known as HEI, taking on the roles of president and CEO. Under his leadership, the company engaged in multiple partnerships with industry experts, focusing on ventures that promoted the exploration and development of oil, gas, and minerals.
Reed expanded into the drilling services market in 2006 by partnering with Midcontinent Drilling. His investment led to the construction of a 2000 horsepower drilling rig, significantly boosting the company’s capabilities to perform deep drilling operations up to 20,000 feet.
In 2011, Reed Cagle ventured into the mining sector, starting with a mining concession in Oregon that remarkably produced about 89,000 ounces of gold. His entrepreneurial efforts also extended to Chile, where he played a vital role in the financing and operationalizing of a gold and copper processing facility in Copiapo. Here, he innovated a new method for removing and neutralizing hazardous substances from liquids, enhancing mining operations' environmental and safety standards.
