Robert Kasirer Male • United States of America
Robert Kasirer manages his family office, where he helped create a national real estate investment and management company with a diversified portfolio reaching 12 states. His responsibilities have included business oversight, long-term property ownership, investment management, and leadership across related operations. He also serves as president of his family foundation, which supports educational institutions and Jewish causes. His giving reflects a continued interest in learning, community strength, religious identity, and support for future generations.
Robert founded nonprofit organizations in the United States and Israel in 2022 to help develop a digital platform and app centered on Jewish life. The platform was created to bring music, Jewish learning, prayer, podcasts, videos, and short interactive experiences into one welcoming digital space. It serves individuals and communities while also allowing schools, synagogues, camps, campus organizations, and content creators to share their own material through customized spaces.
Robert Kasirer comes from a family shaped by the Holocaust, survival, and the responsibility to remember. His mother was imprisoned in Auschwitz, and his father was sent to a forced labor camp. Most of their family was killed there, leaving a deep impact on those who survived. His parents came from a small village in the Carpathian Mountains, and his father trained as a shoemaker after losing his own father at a young age.
Robert was born in Austria after his parents were liberated, married, and waited for visas to immigrate to the United States. He and one sister were born there before the family moved to Los Angeles, where another sister was born. After arriving in 1954, his parents worked to help build Jewish life in the city by supporting schools, synagogues, and community institutions, even when resources were still limited.
Kasirer was raised with the belief that Jewish memory should be carried forward through education, service, and commitment. His parents wanted the loss of six million Jews during the Holocaust to inspire continued dedication to Jewish identity rather than fade into history. That purpose became part of his own life. At age 13, he attended a Jewish boarding school in New York, where he studied secular subjects and became proficient in Jewish learning.
Robert Kasirer attended university in New York and later completed law school before passing the state bar. He began his career as an attorney and helped form a law firm with associates that focused on public finance. His work involved major financing matters throughout the United States. He later served with another law firm before joining his father in 1984 to build a real estate company focused mainly on commercial properties and shopping centers.
Robert continued operating and expanding the family real estate business after his father passed away in 2005. Over time, his two sons and son-in-law joined the family office and its related subsidiaries. They now lead the company and manage daily operations while he serves as chairman. This family transition reflects his commitment to continuity, responsible leadership, and the careful stewardship of the work begun by the previous generation.
Kasirer views his digital Jewish platform as a response to the changing ways people connect with tradition, learning, and community. He believes each generation must find meaningful tools to keep Jewish life active and relevant. Through technology, he hopes to make Jewish content easier to access for people across different locations, affiliations, and backgrounds, while helping organizations strengthen connection, belonging, and engagement through a shared digital ecosystem.
Robert Kasirer has been married to his wife for 48 years, and they have four children and 13 grandchildren, including 7 boys and 6 girls. His personal life is closely tied to family, heritage, and meaningful experiences. Outside his work in business and philanthropy, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling. Through travel, he values learning about different cultures, traditions, and landscapes while maintaining a strong connection to family and community.
