Born in 1996 in California, he grew up in San Marino. He completed his high school education there before enrolling at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 2018, he embarked on a new chapter in Beijing, China.


Rocky Shi's academic journey began at San Marino High School, where he graduated in May 2014. He then advanced to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018.
