Sarah was born and spent her early years in Aspen, Colorado. She graduated from Aspen High School as a member of the National Honor Society in 2002. Her academic achievements led her to Rollins College in Orlando, Florida, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English and minored in Communications, graduating cum laude in 2006. At college, she was deeply involved in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, taking on various leadership roles and eventually serving as its president.
Following her undergraduate education, Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2010. At Vanderbilt, she was an Associate Editor of the Environmental Journal and engaged in the International Law Practice Clinic, experiences that prepared her well for her future legal career.
Sarah's professional journey took her to American Express in 2011, where she excelled in corporate account business development. Her rapid ascent to a top-ranked position showcased her adeptness in both rookie and seasoned roles. In 2013, she pivoted back to the legal field, initially working with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity's Office of General Counsel. This role honed her community planning and strategic business development skills, equipping her with a thorough understanding of government regulatory frameworks.
In 2014, Sarah joined Hopping Green & Sams, P.A. law firm, where she became a shareholder and contributed significantly to the Special District practice group. Here, she provided expert representation for real estate developers and various special districts, focusing on public finance for large-scale community and infrastructure projects throughout Florida.
Sarah's expertise in public finance was further refined during her tenure at Bryant Miller Olive P.A. (BMO), starting in January 2022. At BMO, she continued her focus on public finance law, representing local government clients and collaborating with financial experts to ensure successful outcomes in public finance transactions.
