After undergoing a 12-hour surgery, Scott spent almost two years in a wheelchair and went through extensive physical therapy to regain his ability to walk. Despite these hardships, Scott’s determination to recover remained unwavering. Today, he continues to live a fulfilling life, managing his spinal cord injury with gratitude for the ability to walk. He credits his recovery to the Grace of God, his medical team, and his relentless resolve.



His personal experiences strongly influence Scott’s business philosophy. His "never give up" attitude has been at the core of his decision-making process. Regardless of his challenges—whether in the economy or within market fluctuations—Scott has maintained a steady focus on delivering exceptional customer service while driving his business forward. While at Texas Tech, Scott began his career in automotive financing. His ability to close deals successfully and exceed customer expectations quickly earned him promotions to roles such as Finance Manager, Finance Director, and Director of Sales. After completing his degree, Scott joined Van Tuyl Automotive, a privately held dealership that Berkshire Hathaway Automotive later acquired. Throughout his time at Van Tuyl, Scott played an instrumental role in the company’s success, further refining his sales and customer relationship management skills.



In 2005, Scott recognized the volatility in the luxury vehicle market and decided to pivot. He launched an online dealership specializing in high-end vehicles that catered to business owners and municipalities needing reliable and efficient cars. This new direction proved successful, but the 2008 economic crisis created significant challenges. The downturn affected luxury vehicle sales, and Scott’s dealership faced financial difficulties as his customers struggled to secure financing.



Rather than giving up, Scott adapted quickly by returning to work for larger dealer groups, gaining valuable experience and insights that would prove essential for his next business venture.



In 2016, Scott identified an increasing demand for utility vehicles, particularly bucket trucks, as municipalities began focusing on upgrading their infrastructure. Drawing on his automotive sales experience, Scott launched LoneStar Bucket Trucks, which quickly gained a strong presence in the market. As demand for these specialized vehicles grew, Scott’s business was well-positioned to meet the needs of both industries and local governments.
