Dr. Shafaat Pirani is a board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist who holds certifications in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and a teaching certification from the University of South Florida. He also serves as courtesy faculty with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, where he provides guidance to students and contributes to developing the next generation of pharmacists.
Shafaat Bahram Pirani is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), a national pharmacy leadership society, and holds memberships in APhA, NCPA, NASP, NCPDP, and FPA. These professional affiliations demonstrate his commitment to leadership, innovation, and the continued advancement of pharmacy practice. An innovator as well as a leader, Dr. Pirani is the inventor of a Provisional Patent for “Method and Apparatus for Prescription Delivery,” a digital platform designed to improve transparency, adherence, and access in prescription management. His career spans expertise in pharmacy leadership, digital health innovation, supply chain logistics, hub and mail order operations, telemedicine, regulatory compliance, and clinical workflow optimization, reflecting a broad and impactful professional background.
Currently, Dr. Pirani serves as Chief Clinical Officer of Wellgistics Health (NASDAQ: WGRX), a Tampa-based pharmaceutical distributor offering AI-driven prescription routing and hub fulfillment technology. His leadership role focuses on creating interoperable digital solutions that help pharmacies streamline operations while improving prescription access for patients. He has also played a critical role in Wellgistics’ growth and in the company’s transition to becoming a publicly traded healthcare organization.
Previously, he held the position of Chief Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Officer at Bonum Health and TRxADE Health (NASDAQ: MEDS), where he was responsible for developing compliant digital health platforms that promoted sustainable pharmacy programs. His work emphasized improving patient outcomes while enabling scalable B2B2C growth, ensuring that pharmacies, providers, and patients were better connected through innovative digital solutions.
Shafaat Pirani, Florida, has also held leadership roles at Alliance Pharma Solutions (DelivMeds) and in mail order pharmacy operations, where he oversaw national service expansion and successful reaccreditation under VIPPS and URAC.
