Teddy Teece Male United States of America

Teddy Teece is the Managing Partner of KEA Capital Partners, an investment firm that connects international capital with New Zealand’s light industrial sector. As an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, he has built businesses in finance, technology, executive coaching, and real estate. Throughout his career, he has focused on bringing together purpose, profit, and planet while addressing global market inefficiencies and underrecognized opportunities.

With five generations of family ties to New Zealand and a dual-hemisphere, bi-coastal upbringing, he developed a global perspective combined with a commitment to service. These influences continue to shape his work with long-term and lifestyle-oriented investors who seek both financial returns and deeper connections to New Zealand while contributing to its economic, environmental, and infrastructure development.

As Founder and Managing Partner of KCP, Teddy directs acquisition strategies throughout New Zealand’s “golden triangle,” concentrating on light industrial sectors. The firm focuses on acquiring, expanding, and consolidating established businesses that play key roles in the country’s infrastructure. Through KCP, he is raising funds from investors interested in establishing residency in New Zealand and supporting its economy.

During his first year in Wharton’s Executive MBA program, Teddy developed KCP’s business plan and investment thesis, built advisory relationships, and tested the strategy. The result was a platform that offers a geopolitical insurance product for investors who recognize growing macroeconomic uncertainty and value New Zealand’s reputation as a safe and stable place to live and invest. His approach combines elements of private equity and search funds with local partnerships, community engagement, and philanthropic opportunities.

Before launching KCP, Teddy served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of an investment bank that processed eight and nine-figure transactions. Earlier, he co-founded a marketplace for unique experiences through an incubator and developed partnerships with recognized providers. He also co-founded a leadership and family business advisory practice, working with business families, executives, and emerging leaders across the United States, the Middle East, and New Zealand.

Beyond business, Teddy has developed a nonprofit and executive retreat destination near Boulder, Colorado, transforming a forty-acre property into a place for reflection, wellness, connection, and community. Since 2017, he has supported Navy SEAL families through a foundation and has helped raise six- and seven-figure sums for charitable causes.

Teddy graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, received the Norman Holmes Pearson Prize as co-recipient for the university’s best senior essay, competed as an NCAA Division I lightweight rower, and played rugby.

Today, Teddy Teece works alongside a New Zealand-based team, supports charitable organizations, writes, drums, works the land, and pursues adventure. He remains committed to building organizations and communities grounded in stewardship, service, and long-term partnership.
