Thomas McCorry Male • United States of America
Thomas McCorry built a career spanning 20 years with Constellation Brands, a global producer of well-known beer, wine, and spirits brands such as Corona, Modelo, Meomi, Robert Mondavi, Casa Noble, Mi Campo, and Svedka. Over two decades, he advanced through a range of financial leadership roles, including accounting and controls, operational finance, controllership, business partnership, strategy, and overall financial management. His work consistently delivered strong results, supported by skills in leadership, strategic and financial planning, risk management, financial controls, process improvement, mentoring, accounting under US GAAP, cost savings, valuations, modeling, and revenue management.
He began at the company in 2004 as a Director and later became Vice President of Global Accounting, managing the consolidated accounting close for a $3.6 billion publicly traded business. He streamlined operations, shortening the close process by eight days, improving reporting quality, and strengthening internal controls. He developed global cash flow reporting, cut preparation time by 10 days, consolidated multi-currency statements, and researched complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. He led purchase price allocations for multiple billion-dollar deals, established global accounting policies, centralized intercompany transactions, and directed US GAAP compliance for domestic and international divisions, while also contributing to the design of a new global ERP system.
In 2012, he became Vice President of FP&A – Wine & Spirits, overseeing strategic and annual planning for a $2.7 billion U.S. business. Two years later, as Vice President of Commercial Finance – Wine & Spirits, he centralized $150 million of non-price investments, implemented zero-based budgeting, introduced improved forecasting systems, and developed new financial metrics that better connected sales performance to company results. He restructured the sales finance organization into a shared services model that supported both growth and acquisitions without adding headcount.
He later served as Chief Audit Executive and Senior Vice President & Controller before returning to the Wine & Spirits Division as Senior Vice President & CFO, where he helped redefine strategy after a $1 billion divestiture, cut $100 million in stranded fixed costs, and built a pricing execution team that achieved a 500% increase in price realization. From 2021 to late 2023, as Senior Vice President & CFO of the Beer Division, an $8 billion revenue business, he reduced planned capital spending by $1.5 billion, improved governance, boosted structural margins, and implemented a cost efficiency strategy. He also launched an expatriate program that improved engagement and retention.
Before joining the company, he spent seven years in public accounting at major firms. In 2024, he became Managing Consultant at Pinnacle Growth Strategies, advising businesses on financial performance, risk, and sustainable growth. He also serves on several boards, supports scholarships, and volunteers for community programs. A graduate of SUNY Geneseo, he is a CPA and completed an executive program at Dartmouth College. Originally from Brooklyn, he is married with two children and enjoys running, traveling, and time at the beach. Thomas McCorry continues to apply his extensive experience to help organizations succeed.
