Mr. Vinod Kumar Goenka is the Chairman & Managing Director of DB Realty, one of India’s largest real estate development companies based out of Mumbai. With over 35 years of expertise as a real estate developer, hotelier and industrialist and over 30 million sq feet of development to his credit, every venture that has been undertaken by him reflects his determination to deliver the best. Having started his career at the age of 19, by joining the real estate business run by his father in the 1980s, Mr. Goenka is the man behind its expansion and transformation it into the Dynamix Group.
Mr. Vinod Goenka subsequently entered into a Joint Venture with Mr. Shahid Balwa, creating DB Realty. Under their joint leadership, DB Realty was listed on both, the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange in 2010 at a valuation of over US$ 2 billion.
Gokuldham & Yashodham in Goregaon, Vasant Vihar in Thane, Mahavir Nagar in Kandivali and Shristi in Mira Road are some of the large, path?breaking projects developed under the helm of Mr. Goenka. These projects have become venerable destinations in and of themselves, and are home to extremely vibrant communities. Additionally, under visionary leadership of Mr. Goenka, The Dynamix Group also backed the creation of the prestigious 140?acre sea?side Aldeia de Goa project, one of Goa’s best known and most sought-after residential locale. Aldeia de Goa is also home to the 313-room Grand Hyatt hotel, often referred to as India’s best resort hotel.
Mr. Goenka understands his responsibility towards society and works alongside his sisters in running the Goenka and Associates Educational Trusts, which educate over 30,000 students in Mumbai and Thane, at extremely affordable fees; and the Goenka and Associates Social Welfare Trust, which runs the Gokuldham Medical Centre and has built the Krishna Vatika Mandir in Goregaon. Mr Goenka is also an active member on the board of Schreiber Dynamix Dairy Private Limited, a state of the art dairy unit based in Maharashtra, which processes over 1.6 million litres of milk a day. The Dairy supplies to household brands all across India, including Britannia, Nestle, Pizza Hut, Danone, Starbucks, and many others. .
