The hybrid design( https://www.cadcam.org/understand-what-is-hybrid-design-in-catia/ )means that the final part which a user wants to model will contain the solid part, surfaces, and sheet metal features. Similar to a pro/e model tree, the hybrid design is a design in which everything is in order. The major advantage of the hybrid design is that it integrates all the geometry (wireframe, surface, and solid) into one big group, called a Part Body.
