Follow Button and Private Messages There are two new features for Triberr members, and they work together. On every users profile page is a new "follow" button. If you follow someone, you'll see their posts in your stream. If they follow you, they'll see your posts in their stream. There is a new "envelope" icon at the top right of the nav bar. Click on that and you can send/read private messages between members. You can only private message people who are: 1) In a tribe you are chief of 2) Following you 3) Send you a private message Followers have the option of sharing their email address with the person they are following, in case they want to receive email updates from the person. There will also be an option to put that person on auto-share, so you can choose to automatically share their posts if you like. Enjoy

Speeding up the Tribal Stream. The Stream has been sluggish for a few weeks now. With some database tweaking this should now load much faster. Enjoy!

Added a Transactions tab within Account Settings to view account transactions and withdraw money. For example, if you participated in an Influencer Marketing campaign, after the campaign ends you'll see money show up in your Triberr account. We're call that money, "Triberr funds" for now. You can withdraw that money into your Paypal account, or you can keep it in Triberr and promote posts or use it to fund campaigns of your own down the road.

Added the ability to "follow" a member from their profile page. When you follow a member, their posts will start to appear in your tribal stream.

Hi everyone. We've made some improvements to the way that Triberr imports feeds automatically. In certain edge cases, feeds were being erroneously marked an inactive and staying that way. We've reset all feeds to active and put controls in place to hopefully prevent active feeds from becoming inactive. Typically, a feed will become inactive in the Triberr system if we cannot import that feed for an extended period. We also added an enhancement to your profile pages. You will now see when your feed was last imported by Triberr's import engine. If you experience any problems, please post a comment in the support Bonfire. Cheers, Ralph

New Feature - Notifications We've added a new notification system to Triberr. You can see the icon next to your Account drop down at the top right corner of the page. The new system will let you know when a new members joins your tribe, when a comment is left on your post, when a new campaign is created, when someone follows you, etc. There is so much happening on Triberr every day, we wanted to make it easy to catch up on the most important things you may have missed since your last time here. Enjoy!

Feeds Not Importing Hi all, Just a heads up that Triberr hasn't imported posts today due to us working on an upgrade to the import script. The problem was that we were getting crawl delays from several blogs which caused the script take longer than normal to execute. The long execution times ended up sucking up a lot of server resources, which has been causing downtime these past few days. So now we're rewriting the import script to address this. To import your posts... Either use the Triberr plugin (wordpress only) or import your post manually by going to Account Settings -> My Blogs -> Check Feed which will trigger an import.

Enhancement - Sharing from read window I'm a huge fan of the read window on Triberr. For those who aren't sure what the read window is, just click on the name of a post in the Tribal Stream, and a window will open up where you can quickly read the post. One thing that really annoyed me about the window is that I couldn't share a post from the window. It's normally not an issue, as I could just close out of it, and share from the stream, but what if I clicked on a Live Conversation and wanted to share from there? There just wasn't a way to do that... Until now! We've added a share button at the top right of the read window. Additionally we've moved the "visit website" and "close" buttons near the new share button on the right. Now I know it looks a little funny having the share button on top of the visit website button, but we're doing that because we plan on adding other social network sharing buttons to the right of the Triberr share button. All in due time. Enjoy!

New Feature - Self-Serve Influencer Marketing Campaigns You may notice a new button at the top right of the Tribal stream. It says, "+ Campaign". Press it, and you'll be taken to a campaign creation wizard letting you run the same type of Influencer Marketing campaign as fortune 500 companies and top notch marketing agencies. What are Influencer Marketing Campaigns? Companies can create a marketing campaign on Triberr to find and work with influential bloggers and social media enthusiasts. Read more here: http://blog.triberr.com/2013/12/10/the-roi-on-influence-marketing-case-studies/ Who are these campaigns for? Companies - Create and run a campaign for your business Agencies - Run a campaign on behalf of a client Freelancers - Run a campaign on behalf of a client Bloggers/Influencers - Get hired to work with well know brands Didn't Triberr already announce Influencer Marketing Campaigns? Yes, but we only worked with agencies, and you needed to work with us directly to launch a campaign. Now anyone can launch a campaign at any time. There is a ton of additional information about campaigns that we'll place on our blog and help.triberr.com site in the future. For now this announcement is to let everyone know that self-serve campaigns are officially available to the public. Enjoy!

Fixed: Site slowness This week was a little challenging in terms of site performance. Page have been loading very slowly. Here's what we did to fix it: 1) Our backup (replication) database sat on the same server as our web server. We moved it to it's own server to give our web services more resources 2) We streamlined some very slow queries 3) We added some performance monitoring so we can benchmark some of the slow query improvements 4) We moved both our database server and web server to new hardware at Rackspace. The hardware is much newer and faster With all these improvements we're seeing pages that used to take 5 or 10 seconds to load are now loading in under a second. Thanks so much for your patience with us this week as the site was sluggish. Every startup must continually deal with scalability issues, and we're thankful for having such a supportive community on Triberr

Fixed: Max Exceed Limit Some users are still getting incorrect max exceed errors. This should now be resolved. What caused it? To calculate how many posts you have approved at a time, we looked at all the posts you have scheduled across any platform. So if you have Twitter, FB and Linkedin connected, we looked at the highest number any single platform had approved. So if you had 20 posts approved for Twitter and 150 for LinkedIn, then it would show as hitting the max approvals, because LinkedIn exceed the limit. We've changed this to look at each platform individually. So if Twitter has 20 approvals, and LinkedIn has 150, we'll still approve the post for Twitter, but not LinkedIn. These sort of changes also pave the way for more control over what you send to each platform. So down the road we plan to introduce different sharing frequencies per platform. This way you can share to Twitter every 20 minutes, and Facebook every hour. It also let's us build some advanced scheduling features where you can set posts to send at certain times to certain platforms, or NOT send at certain times. The goal here is to create a more advanced scheduling system, and this is one step in that direction. Enjoy

Enhancement: New Membership Options We've just rolled out a few improvements to our paid memberships, details at: http://triberr.com/pages/prime.php What changed: - Prime membership reduced in price from $40.mo to $35.mo - Prime membership received significant upgrades in the number of blogs and social media accounts that can be connected - New membership option to pay for Prime Lite yearly, instead of monthly, at a 15% discount - Atomic tribes have gone away. Current ATs will be grandfathered in, and we'll be releasing some changes to ATs that will work well for all members Why did we make these changes: There didn't seem to be enough of a differentiation between Prime and Prime Lite to warrant the difference in price. We also wanted to give our commited users the option to save a little money on Prime Lite

Enhancement - Moved "Hide Post" link To remove a post in your Tribal Steam you used to click the "hide" link at the bottom middle of a post. Now we've moved the "hide" link to a drop down that shows in the right hand corner of the post when you hover your mouse over it. This new drop down will hold several "actions" you can take on the post which would clutter the interface if we tried to make all the links visible. We know that it now requires and extra click to hide a post. That's certainly a downside to this change. We'll monitor activity to see if that's a dealbreaker or not. Looking forward to your feedback.

Enhancement - New WYSIWYG Editor making adding photos easy You may have noticed that some posts in your tribal stream have a picture, and others don't. By default pictures only show for members who use the Triberr WP plugin to import their post. However, we've added a new enhancement to allow anyone to include a picture with their post. View the video tutorial here: http://help.triberr.com/how-to-add-a-photo-to-a-post/ 1) Go to My Steam 2) Edit your post 3) Hover over the post body, and click the orange "edit" button 4) Find the "insert image" icon in the WYSIWYG editor 5) Paste the url of an image, and provide a filename 6) Click the "save" icon
